Introduction

I would like to explain why I am doing this Diary website and something about the character I created. I have played Morrowind on Xbox for a couple of years. I am addicted to the game and always return to it when I have finished other games. I have visited hundreds of Morrowind websites and learned something from all of them. There are quite a lot of Morrowind players around that are very helpful to everyone. I have created about a dozen characters and played through the game. This time I wanted to take one character through as much of the game as possible before there was nothing left to do. I have no idea if that is possible in this game.

I play on Xbox, but I have the PC version and hope to be able to do screenshots for the site. I like playing on Xbox because you cannot rewrite the program to change the game or do massive cheating. I don't use the cheat codes to keep the character alive, I just use a lot of potions. I will have spoilers and a few tricks in my adventures. I will add player notes at the end of each day to help other players also. Some might say I am cheating, but I think I am just using the tools of the game. Some of the things I do are making mega powerful alchemy potions, summoning creatures to fight for me, bribing people for information, bribing merchants to do better bartering, filling soul gems at every opportunity, sometimes getting two souls from one creature, gulping potions to stay alive during difficult fights, and I guess the worst is swapping soul gems when creating Constant Effect enchantments. So some people might say I am not really playing fair, but I don't get frustrated because of losing a lot of playing time by getting killed constantly and having to start over on quests because I didn't save soon enough. It is important to do a lot of saving during this game.

In my writing I refer to using the map that came with the game, it is a big help for travel. Sometimes, I won't go into a cave or tomb because I already know it is connected to a quest later in the game, so be warned. A day in Morrowind is 48 minutes of playing time. I tryed to use a normal 24 hour schedule playing, so one Morrowind day of playing takes a little over half an hour. In Morrowind, Sunrise is at 5AM and Sunset is at 8PM, I found out on one of the websites, so it is a long day to do a lot of exploring. It takes about an hour to write it all out. I have a laptop and can type it up as I play the game. I use sleep time to balance out the playing day and move on to the next day. I read a lot of the in-game books and found out they pause the playing time in the game while reading. Hopefully, my characters adventures will be enjoyable and not overwhelming.

As I play and add days, I will post updates. I have no idea how long I will keep this up, but I am starting with one month playing time in Morrowind. Please send e-mail with your comments and suggestions, because the beauty of this game is that everyone plays their own way.

I hope that the Diary is enjoyable and helpful to other players, both seasoned and new. If you are reading this I am sure you are a Morrowind player and enjoy the variety of the game.

To everyone, HAPPY ADVENTURING,
Forest Dragon
